I picked this up last night on the cheap at GameStop (found a used copy and they have a 50% trade thing going). Anyone else have this or tried it? It's a lot of fun, the gameplay is very hectic but once you get through the tutorial you're ready to start tearing it up. Quentin played three songs on "Medium" then jumped over "hard" to "Expert", and he did surprisingly well! I guess I'm saying it's a great challenge but easy to pick up once you learn all the functions.

Of course everyone's going to compare this to Rock Band, and I will say that this is just about as fun as playing drums on RB... which I happen to love, but am not very good at. I do appear to be a much better DJ than drummer. :bigthumb:

This one's not as much of a party game as Rock Band in the sense that you can't have four people jamming together, but you can add a guitar or second turntable for 2-player, and the music should keep bystanders interested and tapping their feet. It's also fun to watch someone play the game, as their hands are really all over the place.

I highly recommend it! Come by sometime and try it out! :)

I have it. It's pretty fun, but we play RB more for the reasons you listed...and nobody wants to sit around and watch me geek out on it.

I've played it a couple of times at a buddies house, although fun, I didn't get into it very hardcore. I love a lot of the songs, there is some pretty good old school and underground hip hop, But the mix's didn't seem to flow well with me. Maybe some of the downloads are better. It just seemed like every time I got into the music i would have to slide the mixer over to a song that didn't seem to flow or mix well with what I was currently digging on.

I also have it. My 10 hours invested since getting it have gotten me to Medium difficulty.

Great game to turn the surround sound up on!
